The founders who call us from Ho Chi Minh City are almost never starting from zero. They already run a Telegram channel with a few thousand traders, or a training business, or an introducing arrangement with a foreign broker, and they have worked out that the margin sits with whoever owns the account rather than whoever sends the traffic. The question is what they have to build to own it.
The honest answer is that the software is the small part. The company, the licence and the banking are the long part, and they come first.
Who this is for
Teams in Vietnam launching one of two businesses. A brokerage, where you carry client money, quote prices and answer to a regulator. Or a prop firm, where clients buy an evaluation, trade simulated capital under your rules, and get paid from your budget when they perform. The economics, the risk and the compliance load are different in each case, which we set out in broker versus prop firm.
The regulatory backdrop, described not advised
Foreign exchange in Vietnam sits under the State Bank, which administers the exchange control regime and licenses institutions permitted to deal in foreign currency. Securities activity falls to the State Securities Commission. Retail margin FX and CFD trading is not an ordinary licensed domestic activity, and Vietnamese authorities have issued public warnings about unlicensed platforms marketing to residents.
What that means in practice is that firms with Vietnamese founders and Vietnamese staff are typically incorporated and licensed outside Vietnam, and operate under that foreign authorisation. We are describing a pattern, not endorsing one. Whether your intended structure is lawful, and how you may or may not approach Vietnamese residents, is a question for a Vietnam-qualified lawyer before you spend anything on technology. If you are surveying the options, read offshore broker licences and how to check a broker licence.
SINGUARD provides software. We are not a broker, a bank, a payment institution, a law firm or an adviser. Client funds, licensing and compliance stay entirely with your firm.
What you get from us
| Product | What it covers |
|---|---|
| eTrader | Web, iOS and Android trading terminal with the market data feed included. Charts, order tickets, pending orders, alerts, account and history. |
| Broker CRM | Clients, KYC state, deposits and withdrawals, per-server instruments and markups, risk and routing settings, reporting, audit trail. |
| Prop Firm CRM | Challenge design, drawdown and consistency rules, breach records, funded promotion, certificates, payout approvals. |
All three are hosted and operated by us. There is no server for your team to patch and no separate market data contract to negotiate. Once your paperwork is done, we put the firm live in 24 hours with your brand on the portal, the emails and the client-facing pages.
Payments and banking, the part nobody warns you about
Vietnamese dong is tightly controlled and does not move across borders the way regional founders would like. A foreign-licensed entity serving clients in the region will settle in USD and will need at least two deposit routes, because a single acquirer for a trading merchant is a single point of failure. Card acceptance sits in the high-risk category, approval rates vary by issuing country, and chargeback exposure is real.
Stablecoin deposits are common across Southeast Asia because they clear fast and do not care about correspondent banking hours, and they bring their own compliance duties around source of funds and the travel rule. Start with high-risk merchant accounts, crypto payments for trading firms and banking for trading firms. The CRM reconciles whatever processors you sign; it never holds the funds.
Hours, language and how firms here are put together
Ho Chi Minh City is UTC+7. Your traders wake into the Asian session, London opens in your afternoon and New York in your late evening, so the volatile hours for gold and indices land while a local support shift is still on. That is an operational advantage over a European desk covering the same instruments.
Client text has to be Vietnamese first. English second, and the portal handles both without a separate build; the commercial case is in the multilingual client portal. Support expectations are chat-led rather than email-led, which is why most firms here run Telegram or Zalo alongside the portal ticket queue.
The usual structure is a foreign operating company, a Vietnam-based marketing and support team employed through a local services entity, and outsourced KYC. Your vendor has to be relaxed about a firm whose staff, regulator and payment providers are in three different jurisdictions. Ours is.
Next step
Alex Onta built eTrader with Roman Onta on design, and the two of them built the Broker CRM and the Prop Firm CRM together, along with the payments and structuring work behind them. Book a call or text us and bring your licensing plan. We will show you the live demos and be blunt about which questions belong to your lawyer rather than to us.

Where SINGUARD is based, and where we meet firms in Ho Chi Minh City
All of the software, the contracts and the policies come from SGHK Softwares Limited in Hong Kong, the holding company that builds and licenses eTrader and both CRMs. The team works out of Dubai, where both Executive Directors, Alex Onta and Roman Onta, live for most of the year, and our licensed UAE entity is SINGUARD GLOBAL FZC in Ajman Free Zone. We hold no office or licence in Vietnam, and none is needed: the platform is delivered and managed from our own clustered servers, so a firm in Ho Chi Minh City runs exactly what a firm anywhere else runs, and your licence, your client money and your compliance obligations stay entirely with your own entity.
Being in Dubai keeps the team on the industry circuit and within easy reach of Ho Chi Minh City for calls and meetings, in a time zone that overlaps most of the trading world.
In person, the place to find us is the industry circuit. The team attends Forex Expo Dubai and the other major shows, wearing the SINGUARD and eTrader shirts, and you can walk up without an appointment, ask for a live demo of the terminal and both CRMs, and talk to the Executive Directors directly in English, Italian, Romanian or Russian. See where to find us at the expo.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SINGUARD have an office in Ho Chi Minh City?
No. SINGUARD holds no office, entity, licence or staff in Ho Chi Minh City or anywhere in Vietnam. We are a software company serving firms established elsewhere, and the team travels to industry events in the region.
Is SINGUARD regulated in Vietnam?
No. SINGUARD sells software only. It is not a broker, bank or payment institution and holds no authorisation from the State Bank or any Vietnamese authority. Licensing, client money and compliance sit with the operating firm.
Can a team in Ho Chi Minh City run a prop firm on this software?
The Prop Firm CRM runs evaluations, breach detection, funded accounts and payouts for firms wherever they are established. Where the firm is incorporated, who it may onboard and how it markets are decisions for the firm and its lawyers.
How long does deployment take for a Vietnam-based team?
Twenty-four hours from the moment your own licensing, banking and paperwork are settled. The platform, both CRMs and the data feed are managed by us, so there is no server build on your side.
