SINGUARD in Thailand

Broker and prop firm software for teams in Bangkok.

The eTrader platform with its data feed, the Broker CRM and the Prop Firm CRM, fully managed for firms serving Thai clients. Live in 24 hours once your own licensing and paperwork are in place.

A team in Bangkok that decides to run its own brokerage or prop firm usually starts from the same two problems. Where does the company sit, and what does the client actually log into. The second one is the part we solve. The first one belongs to your lawyers and your accountants, and it is the part that takes months.

Thailand has a large, active retail trading base, a strong Telegram and Line culture around signals and education, and a generation of traders who came in through mobile apps rather than desktop terminals. That combination produces founders. It also produces a specific technical requirement: whatever you launch has to look right on a phone in Thai, quote gold cleanly during the Asian session, and not fall over at the London open.

Who these pages are for

Two kinds of firm. The first is a broker: you take clients, you route or internalise their flow, you carry the licence and the client money. The second is a prop firm: you sell evaluations, you fund the traders who pass, and you pay them out of your own risk budget. The gap between the two is bigger than most first-time founders expect, and we wrote a full comparison of the two models for exactly that reason.

Either way, you are buying three things from a software vendor: a trading platform, a back office, and someone who answers when the feed hiccups at 21:00 Bangkok time.

The regulatory backdrop, described plainly

In Thailand, securities and derivatives business is supervised by the SEC, while foreign exchange itself sits under the Bank of Thailand and Thailand's exchange control framework. Retail margin FX and CFDs are not a straightforward domestic licence category, and that is why a large share of firms with Thai founders and Thai-speaking staff are incorporated and licensed elsewhere, then serve clients under that foreign authorisation.

That is a description, not a recommendation. Where you incorporate, whether you may market to Thai residents, and what disclosures you owe them are questions for a Thai-qualified lawyer. If you are still mapping the options, our explainers on offshore broker licences and the Labuan FSA licence cover the mechanisms most Southeast Asian founders look at first.

SINGUARD is a software company. We do not hold client funds, we do not process payments, and we do not advise on licensing. Every page on this site describes what our software does, not what your firm is permitted to do.

What SINGUARD actually delivers

The stack is three products and they ship together.

eTrader is the trading platform: web, iOS and Android, with its own data feed included rather than billed as a separate market data contract. Charts, order tickets, pending orders, alerts and the account view are one codebase, so the phone is not a stripped down version of the desktop. Your firm is listed as a broker inside the terminal and your brand carries the portal and the emails.

The Broker CRM is the back office: client records, KYC state, deposits and withdrawals, instrument and markup configuration per server, IB-free reporting, and an audit trail your compliance officer can actually read. The Prop Firm CRM is the other half: challenge templates, drawdown and consistency rules enforced by a rules engine, breach records, funded account promotion, certificates and payout approvals.

All of it is fully managed by us. Once your own licensing, banking and paperwork are done, we put you live in 24 hours.

Payments and banking, the honest local view

This is where Bangkok launches stall. Thai baht is not a currency that international payment processors handle casually, domestic rails such as PromptPay are built for domestic businesses, and a foreign-licensed entity serving Thai clients will normally settle in USD and accept the conversion cost somewhere. Card acceptance for trading merchants is a high-risk category everywhere, and approval rates in the region are not the same as they are in Europe.

Most firms in the region end up with more than one route: cards through a specialist acquirer, bank transfer for larger deposits, and stablecoins for clients who already hold them. Our writeups on high-risk merchant accounts, payout rails and crypto payments for trading firms go through the trade-offs. The CRM records and reconciles whatever you connect; it never touches the money itself.

Language, hours and how firms here are structured

Bangkok is UTC+7. The Asian session opens in your morning, London opens mid-afternoon, and New York lands late in your evening. Support cover for a Thai client base is genuinely easier than it is for a European one, because your busiest instruments trade while your desk is awake. Gold in particular moves hardest between London and New York, which for you is early evening.

Client-facing text needs to be Thai first with English alongside, and often Mandarin if you also serve regional expatriates. The client portal is multilingual, and the reasons that matters commercially are set out in our piece on the multilingual client portal.

Structurally, the pattern we see across the region is a foreign licensed operating entity, a Thai marketing and support team, and a third party handling KYC. That works. It also means your software vendor has to be comfortable with your staff, your regulator and your payment providers all living in different places, which ours is.

Talk to us

SINGUARD's Executive Directors, Alex Onta & Roman Onta, take these calls directly. Alex built eTrader, with Roman on the design side, and the two of them built the Broker CRM and the Prop Firm CRM together. Book a call or text us, and bring your licensing plan. We will tell you what the software does and where your lawyer needs to answer instead.

Where SINGUARD is based, and where we meet firms in Bangkok

All of the software, the contracts and the policies come from SGHK Softwares Limited in Hong Kong, the holding company that builds and licenses eTrader and both CRMs. The team works out of Dubai, where both Executive Directors, Alex Onta and Roman Onta, live for most of the year, and our licensed UAE entity is SINGUARD GLOBAL FZC in Ajman Free Zone. We hold no office or licence in Thailand, and none is needed: the platform is delivered and managed from our own clustered servers, so a firm in Bangkok runs exactly what a firm anywhere else runs, and your licence, your client money and your compliance obligations stay entirely with your own entity.

Being in Dubai keeps the team on the industry circuit and within easy reach of Bangkok for calls and meetings, in a time zone that overlaps most of the trading world.

In person, the place to find us is the industry circuit. The team attends Forex Expo Dubai and the other major shows, wearing the SINGUARD and eTrader shirts, and you can walk up without an appointment, ask for a live demo of the terminal and both CRMs, and talk to the Executive Directors directly in English, Italian, Romanian or Russian. See where to find us at the expo.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. SINGUARD holds no office, entity, licence or staff in Bangkok or anywhere in Thailand. We build and run the software from our own infrastructure and the team travels to industry events in the region.

Is SINGUARD licensed by the SEC in Thailand?

No. SINGUARD sells software. It is not a broker, a bank or a payment institution, and it holds no licence from the SEC or the Bank of Thailand. Licensing, client funds and compliance stay with the operating firm.

Can a firm serving Thai clients use the Prop Firm CRM?

How fast can a Bangkok team go live?

Once the firm's own licensing, banking and paperwork are in place, SINGUARD delivers the platform and CRM live in 24 hours, fully managed. The waiting is almost never the software.
