How Much of the Platform Can Actually Carry Your Brand.

Founders picture their logo on the chart and price it later. Here is which branded surface a trader actually judges you on, and what each platform arrangement really delivers.

Founders arrive at the branding conversation with a picture in their head: their logo on the trading terminal, their name on an App Store listing, their colours on the chart. Then they price it. A MetaTrader main label, the arrangement that puts your firm's name on its own server and its own mobile apps, sits in a different budget category from everything else a new prop firm buys, and the rented platforms hand back a skin whose depth varies more than the sales decks suggest.

So the useful question is not how much branding a platform offers. It is which branded surface a trader actually forms an opinion from.

The surfaces a client sees, in the order they see them

Map an evaluation buyer's first hour. They land on your site. They read your challenge rules and prices. They pay on your checkout. They get an email with credentials. They open a client portal and see their account, their objectives, their progress. Only then do they open a chart.

Five of those six surfaces are yours outright on any platform, because they belong to your website, your storefront, your payment rails and your CRM. The sixth is the terminal. Firms spend most of the branding budget on the sixth and most of the customer's attention lives in the first five.

That is not an argument for ignoring the terminal. A terminal that looks abandoned costs you renewals. It is an argument for knowing what you are buying when a vendor charges a large multiple for a logo swap.

What white labelling on the older stacks actually includes

On MetaTrader, the deep version is the main label: your own server, your own name, your own mobile applications published under your firm. It is a serious product and it delivers exactly what founders imagine, at a cost that assumes an established licensed broker is paying it. The lighter arrangement, a white label under someone else's licence, typically brands the environment a client connects to while the platform's own name stays on the software the trader installed.

cTrader, DXtrade, Match-Trader and TradeLocker each offer a branded web terminal with your logo, colours and domain, and the depth runs from a theme file to a fairly complete skin depending on tier. All four are honest about the boundary: the platform vendor's name remains the platform vendor's name, and where mobile apps exist they are usually the vendor's apps with your firm selected inside. That is a normal, well-understood industry arrangement, and none of it is a defect.

Ask any vendor one question before you compare tiers: is the mobile app published by us or by you? The answer changes the timeline, the cost and who owns the store listing, and it is the single largest gap between a skin and a main label.

Where eTrader sits, stated plainly

eTrader is not sold as a white label, and saying otherwise would waste a founder's time. It is a shared trading terminal in which your firm is listed as a broker: your traders choose you inside eTrader and trade your accounts, on the web terminal, the installable desktop app and the native iOS and Android apps, with one account synced across all of them. The terminal carries the eTrader name.

What carries your brand is everything around it. Your storefront and website, your client portal, your challenge rules and certificates, your emails, your payout flow. Those are the surfaces the SINGUARD Prop Firm CRM produces, and they are yours end to end. For a new firm that trade is usually the right one, because the terminal is the most expensive thing to brand and the least persuasive thing to brand. Traders churn over payout speed and rule clarity, not over whose logo sits above the chart.

Where it is the wrong trade: if your entire positioning is a proprietary terminal, if you are raising on the story of owning your own technology, or if a store listing under your firm's name is a hard requirement from a partner, eTrader is not the fit and a main label or a deep white label is. Vendors who pretend that case does not exist are the reason founders distrust vendors.

The branding that survives contact with support

There is a second kind of brand consistency that rarely gets discussed and matters more than the chart skin. When a trader emails about a breach, does the reply quote the same rule wording, the same numbers and the same timestamps that the portal showed them? A firm running a branded terminal on one system and rules on another produces contradictions, and contradictions are what turn a routine failed evaluation into a public dispute.

Single-system enforcement removes that class of problem. Positions reach the rules engine every 500 milliseconds, the consequence you configured is applied automatically, the trader gets the reason, and the decision is written to an audit log. The mechanics are in the prop firm platform article, and the pricing that sits behind them in the pricing breakdown.

How to spend a launch branding budget

Order of return, for a firm in its first year: the website and storefront first, because that is where conversion is won and lost. The client portal second, because it is where the customer lives every day of a 30-day evaluation. Emails and certificates third, because they are what traders screenshot and post. The terminal skin last, and only when you can pay for it without taking the money out of acquisition.

Founders weighing this alongside the platform decision itself will find the cost side laid out in the eTrader and MT5 comparison. The branding answer usually falls out of the cost answer, which is the correct order to take them in.

"A trader decides how they feel about your firm in the portal and the payout email. The chart skin is the last thing they notice and the first thing founders pay for."

Key Takeaways

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a prop firm put its own logo on the eTrader terminal?

No. eTrader is a shared trading terminal in which firms are listed as brokers, so the terminal keeps the eTrader name across web, desktop and the native iOS and Android apps. The firm's brand lives on the storefront, the client portal, the emails and the certificates produced by the Prop Firm CRM.

What is the difference between a MetaTrader main label and a white label?

A main label gives a firm its own server, its own name and its own published mobile applications, and is priced for established licensed brokers. A white label runs under another licence holder's arrangement and generally brands the environment a client connects to rather than the platform software itself.

Where should a new prop firm spend its branding budget first?

The website and storefront, because conversion is decided there, then the client portal where traders spend the evaluation, then emails and certificates that traders share publicly. A branded terminal skin is worth buying once it does not compete with the acquisition budget.
