Most brokers on MetaTrader and cTrader do not publish a mobile app under their own name. Traders install MetaTrader 5 or cTrader from the app store, then pick the broker's server from a list inside it, the same way they would on desktop. That surprises firms new to the industry, who assume "our own app" is the default. It is not, on most platforms, and it is not a missing feature either. It is the standard setup, and it changes what a firm can actually brand on the phone screen a client looks at every day.
What a broker can and cannot brand on mobile
Three different models exist. On MetaTrader and cTrader, the app itself carries the platform's name and icon; the firm's name and logo appear once the trader picks its server inside the app. On DXtrade and Match-Trader, the mobile app is sold white-label, so the firm's own name and icon can appear on the home screen and in the app store listing itself. eTrader follows the MetaTrader and cTrader model: native apps for iPhone, Android and Mac carry the eTrader name, and the firm's own name and logo appear once a trader picks its server, while the firm's client portal, storefront, website and emails carry its brand on its own domain.
Neither model is simply better. A white-label app needs the firm to run its own developer accounts (or lean on the vendor's), file financial app declarations, and wait on store review for every update. A shared app removes all of that for the firm, at the cost of the app icon itself carrying someone else's name.
1. eTrader
eTrader's native iPhone, Android and Mac apps share one account with the browser terminal, so a position opened on the phone shows on the Mac. Trading from the chart works the same on mobile as on desktop: stops, targets and pending orders are lines a trader drags, with up to four take-profit levels. Push notifications cover price alerts and trade fills. The firm needs no Apple or Google developer account, files no financial app declaration, and every update reaches every trader the day it ships.
2. MetaTrader 5
MetaTrader 5's mobile apps are the most widely used in the industry, carrying the MetaQuotes name with the broker's server picked inside. Chart tools, indicators and the MQL5 library are available on mobile, and MetaTrader remains the reference point most traders compare a new app against.
3. cTrader
cTrader's mobile apps for iOS and Android follow the same shared-app structure as MetaTrader, with Level II depth of market and cTrader Copy available from the phone. It suits firms whose traders already know cTrader from another broker.
4. DXtrade
DXtrade Mobile is a native iOS and Android app sold white-label, so a firm can put its own name and icon on it. It ships with over 90 indicators, a range of charting types and TradingView chart integration, and supports market, limit, stop and OCO orders, redesigned in recent versions around a home screen with live portfolio and order tracking.
5. Match-Trader
Match-Trader's mobile experience is built as a Progressive Web App, so settings and open positions sync in real time across web, mobile and desktop without a separate native codebase to maintain. Match-Trade Technologies also sells a dedicated Social Trading / Copy Trading app on top of the same client office.
| Platform | App model | Broker branding on the app itself | Chart tools on mobile |
|---|---|---|---|
| eTrader | Native, shared app | Server name and logo inside the app | Six chart types, tick charts, market depth |
| MetaTrader 5 | Native, shared app | Server name inside the app | Full MQL5 indicator library |
| cTrader | Native, shared app | Server name inside the app | Depth of market, cTrader Copy |
| DXtrade | Native, white-label | Firm's own name and icon | 90+ indicators, TradingView integration |
| Match-Trader | Progressive Web App, white-label | Firm's own name and icon | TradingView charts |
Choosing between shared and white-label mobile
If a firm's marketing already leans on traders searching an app store by name, DXtrade or Match-Trader's white-label mobile apps put that name on the icon itself. If a firm's growth comes from referrals, ads that link straight to a download page, or an existing trader base moving from another broker on the same platform, the shared-app model that eTrader, MetaTrader and cTrader use removes the app-store overhead entirely and still shows the firm's name the moment a client opens the app. Our guide to chart trading on mobile covers what to test in a live demo on either model, and this piece on mobile-first traders is relevant if most of your client base only ever opens a phone.
SGHK's Broker CRM and Prop Firm CRM connect to MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, DXtrade, NinjaTrader, Match-Trader and TradeLocker as well as eTrader, so the mobile app decision does not have to double as a CRM decision.
"Most clients never open a desktop terminal. Test any platform's mobile app before you test anything else."

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best mobile trading app for a new broker?
If you do not need your own app icon, eTrader gives native iPhone, Android and Mac apps with one account across devices and no app-store work for the firm. If the branded icon matters more, DXtrade Mobile or Match-Trader's white-label apps are the closer fit.
Can our clients download an app with our own name on it?
Only on a white-label platform such as DXtrade or Match-Trader. On MetaTrader, cTrader and eTrader, clients download the platform's own app and pick your firm's server inside it, the same way they would on desktop.
Does eTrader's mobile app support chart trading?
Yes. Stops, targets, pending orders and alerts are lines a trader drags directly on the mobile chart, the same interaction as the browser terminal and the Mac app.
Does DXtrade Mobile support TradingView charts?
Yes, DXtrade Mobile integrates TradingView charting alongside its own indicator set, per Devexperts' own product material.
Do we need separate CRMs for desktop and mobile trading?
No. SGHK's Broker CRM and Prop Firm CRM manage accounts across MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, cTrader, DXtrade, NinjaTrader, Match-Trader and TradeLocker as well as eTrader, regardless of which device a client trades from.
