SINGUARD in Panama

Trading platform and CRM for Panama City firms.

Panama City has been a booking and holding base for trading firms for decades. What it does not come with is a platform. That part we build, host and run for you.

A firm called us last year with a Panamanian company, a bank relationship, two payment providers and no way for a client to place a trade. That is the usual order of events here. The corporate and banking side of Panama is well trodden, the technology is an afterthought, and it becomes urgent about a month before launch.

SINGUARD is the software half. We have no office, no entity and no licence in Panama, and we do not want one. We build the platform, host it, keep it running and hand you the keys. The company, the authorisation, the client money and the compliance file are yours.

Who buys this in Panama City

Three profiles. Founders launching a prop firm selling evaluation accounts, usually to a Spanish-speaking audience across Latin America. Brokers who want their own branded terminal instead of a rented MetaTrader white label and the licence risk that comes attached to it. And established groups holding a Panamanian entity for structural reasons while the sales team sits somewhere else entirely.

If you are choosing between the two business models, broker versus prop firm sets out the economics without the marketing gloss. The evaluation model needs less capital and far more discipline in the rules engine. A brokerage needs real money in the treasury and a payment stack that survives a bad month of chargebacks.

The regulatory backdrop

Panama's securities market is supervised by the Superintendencia del Mercado de Valores, the SMV. It licenses brokerage houses, investment managers and their representatives, and it maintains public registers of the entities and individuals it has authorised. Panama also sits inside the international AML framework, and Panamanian firms have spent the last decade adjusting to closer scrutiny of beneficial ownership and source of funds. That scrutiny reaches your banking, your payment providers and your client onboarding, not only your licence file.

Whether your model needs an SMV licence, an offshore authorisation elsewhere, or something else depends on who you serve and how you solicit them. That is a question for your lawyers. Offshore broker licences, licence costs compared and AML basics for trading firms give you the vocabulary before that meeting. Nothing on this page is advice.

SINGUARD sells software. It is not a broker, bank, payment institution or adviser, and it holds no client funds. Licensing, custody and compliance stay with your firm in every jurisdiction, Panama included.

What we supply

The eTrader platform runs on web, iOS and Android with its own market data feed included, so you are not buying a terminal licence from one vendor and a price feed from another. Around it sit the Broker CRM for onboarding, KYC workflow, deposits, withdrawals, markups and IB structures, and the Prop Firm CRM for challenge design, the rules engine, certificates, payouts and the audit trail behind every pass and every breach.

It is fully managed. We host and monitor it, we patch it, and when something breaks it is our phone that rings. Once your own licensing and paperwork are done, the environment goes live in 24 hours. Branding, instrument list and rule set are configured with you rather than quoted as a project.

Banking, payments and the practical local reality

Panama is a dollarised economy, which removes an entire category of currency headache: your books, your client balances and most of your payment flows can sit in USD without conversion friction. That is a genuine advantage over the rest of the region.

What it does not remove is the acquiring problem. A CFD or evaluation business is high-risk merchant category work anywhere, and a Panamanian entity does not improve card approval rates on its own. Firms here typically run a card processor, a crypto rail because a meaningful share of Latin American clients prefer USDT, and wire for larger deposits. Payouts sit on separate rails again. Correspondent banking for Panamanian entities also takes longer to arrange than founders expect, so start it early. High-risk merchant accounts, payout rails and banking for trading firms are the three to read.

The CRM does not care which providers you pick. Adding a second processor after launch is a configuration change.

Language, time zone and team shape

Spanish and English, both properly, across the terminal, the portal, the emails and the certificates. Firms selling regionally run Spanish as the default and switch on English for clients further afield.

Panama sits at UTC-5 with no daylight saving, so the working day covers the London afternoon and the whole New York session. That is a useful desk position: your risk team is awake for the volatile hours and asleep through the Asian session, which is exactly when your rules engine has to be trusted to act alone. Write the weekend and overnight policy accordingly, and make sure the audit trail records why an account was breached at 3am.

The common structure is a small Panama City operating team on marketing, support and risk, with technology outsourced. On our side, Alex Onta & Roman Onta built the Broker CRM and the Prop Firm CRM together and carry compliance, payments and corporate structuring between them. Alex Onta built eTrader, with Roman Onta on the design, and leads it.

Where SINGUARD is based, and where we meet firms in Panama City

All of the software, the contracts and the policies come from SGHK Softwares Limited in Hong Kong, the holding company that builds and licenses eTrader and both CRMs. The team works out of Dubai, where both Executive Directors, Alex Onta and Roman Onta, live for most of the year, and our licensed UAE entity is SINGUARD GLOBAL FZC in Ajman Free Zone. We hold no office or licence in Panama, and none is needed: the platform is delivered and managed from our own clustered servers, so a firm in Panama City runs exactly what a firm anywhere else runs, and your licence, your client money and your compliance obligations stay entirely with your own entity.

Being in Dubai keeps the team on the industry circuit and within easy reach of Panama City for calls and meetings, in a time zone that overlaps most of the trading world.

In person, the place to find us is the industry circuit. The team attends Forex Expo Dubai and the other major shows, wearing the SINGUARD and eTrader shirts, and you can walk up without an appointment, ask for a live demo of the terminal and both CRMs, and talk to the Executive Directors directly in English, Italian, Romanian or Russian. See where to find us at the expo.
