SINGUARD in Colombia

Broker and prop firm software for Bogota firms.

Firms building a retail trading business out of Bogota get the eTrader platform, its data feed and the CRM that runs the business behind it. We run the infrastructure, your team runs the firm.

Most of the firms we speak to in Bogota start the same way. Somebody has spent three or four years building an audience in Spanish, on Telegram or Instagram, and they now want to charge for accounts instead of for a course. The question is never whether the demand exists. It is what to put underneath it.

That is the part SINGUARD builds. We are a software company. We have no office, no entity and no staff in Colombia, and we do not hold client money anywhere. Our team travels to the industry events where these conversations happen, and the rest of the time we run the platform remotely for the firms that use it. Everything on the licensing and money-handling side of the business stays with you.

Who this page is for

Two kinds of firm. The first is a broker: you want your own branded terminal, spreads, deposits, withdrawals and a client base you own rather than rent from an introducing-broker deal. The second is a prop firm selling evaluations, which is the model that has grown fastest across Latin America because the fee is small enough to sell to a Spanish-speaking retail audience and the operational load is lighter than a full brokerage. If you have not settled on one, the difference between a broker and a prop firm is worth reading before you spend money on either.

The third group, and it is larger than people admit, is a firm that already trades on a rented MetaTrader white label and wants out. Those migrations are ordinary work for us.

The regulatory backdrop in Colombia

Colombia's securities market is supervised by the Superintendencia Financiera de Colombia, the SFC. It authorises and supervises financial institutions and market intermediaries, and it publishes registers of the entities it supervises. Retail CFD and margin-FX offerings sit awkwardly against that regime, which is why a good number of Colombian-run firms are incorporated offshore and take clients internationally rather than soliciting locally.

We describe the mechanism, not the route. Whether your firm registers in Colombia, sets up in Panama City, or takes an offshore authorisation and keeps its operating team in Bogota is a decision for your own lawyers. What matters technically is that the answer is settled before you sign for software, because it drives your onboarding rules, your leverage caps and which countries your marketing may touch. Offshore broker licences and the regulated versus unregulated question cover the trade-offs plainly.

SINGUARD is never the licensed party. Your firm holds the authorisation, contracts the payment providers, custodies client funds and answers to whichever supervisor it chose. We license you software and keep it running.

What we actually provide

Three products, sold together or separately.

ProductWhat it does
eTraderThe trading platform: web, iOS and Android, with charts, order tickets, alerts and its own market data feed included. No per-terminal licence bill from a third party.
Broker CRMClient onboarding, KYC workflow, deposits and withdrawals, account tiers, spreads and markups, IB structures, reporting.
Prop Firm CRMChallenge design, the rules engine that scores drawdown and consistency, certificates, payouts and the audit trail behind every breach decision.

All of it is fully managed. We host it, patch it, monitor it and fix it. Once your own licensing and paperwork are in place, a firm goes live in 24 hours. That number is not a sales figure, it is what the process takes when the software is already built and the only remaining work is your branding, your instrument list and your rules.

Payments and banking, the honest version

This is where Colombian firms lose the most time. Card acquiring for a CFD or evaluation business is high-risk merchant category work, approval rates vary by issuer, and a Colombian merchant account rarely solves the international side of the book. Most firms end up with a stack rather than a single provider: a card processor, a crypto rail for clients who prefer USDT, and bank transfer for larger deposits. Payouts run on their own rails and often on different providers from deposits.

Read high-risk merchant accounts, crypto payments for trading firms and payout rails compared before you commit. The CRM is provider-agnostic, so adding a second processor later is configuration, not a rebuild. SINGUARD is not a payment institution and never touches the money.

Language, hours and how firms here are structured

Spanish is the default and it needs to be real Spanish across the terminal, the portal, the emails and the certificates, not an English product with a translated menu. Firms selling into Mexico, Peru and Chile from Bogota run one Spanish front end for the whole region and keep English for anyone further out.

Colombia sits at UTC-5 all year, which lands the New York session inside a normal working day and the London open early in the morning. Support desks here cover the American hours comfortably and struggle with the Asian session, so most firms staff for the former and automate the latter. That shapes how you write your risk rules: an unattended weekend is a policy question, not a staffing one.

Structurally, the common shape is a small operating team in Bogota doing marketing, support and risk, an offshore holding company, and everything technical outsourced. On our side, SINGUARD's Executive Directors, Alex Onta & Roman Onta, built the Broker CRM and the Prop Firm CRM together and handle compliance, payments and corporate structuring questions between them. Alex Onta built eTrader, with Roman Onta on the design, and leads the platform.

Starting the conversation

If you are still costing the whole thing, how to start a prop firm and how to start a forex brokerage lay out the sequence. When you want to see the software rather than read about it, book a call or text us and we will show you a live environment. Other markets we work in are listed under locations, including Belize City.

Where SINGUARD is based, and where we meet firms in Bogota

All of the software, the contracts and the policies come from SGHK Softwares Limited in Hong Kong, the holding company that builds and licenses eTrader and both CRMs. The team works out of Dubai, where both Executive Directors, Alex Onta and Roman Onta, live for most of the year, and our licensed UAE entity is SINGUARD GLOBAL FZC in Ajman Free Zone. We hold no office or licence in Colombia, and none is needed: the platform is delivered and managed from our own clustered servers, so a firm in Bogota runs exactly what a firm anywhere else runs, and your licence, your client money and your compliance obligations stay entirely with your own entity.

Being in Dubai keeps the team on the industry circuit and within easy reach of Bogota for calls and meetings, in a time zone that overlaps most of the trading world.

In person, the place to find us is the industry circuit. The team attends Forex Expo Dubai and the other major shows, wearing the SINGUARD and eTrader shirts, and you can walk up without an appointment, ask for a live demo of the terminal and both CRMs, and talk to the Executive Directors directly in English, Italian, Romanian or Russian. See where to find us at the expo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does SINGUARD have an office in Bogota?

No. SINGUARD is a software company with no office, entity or staff in Colombia. We build and run the platform remotely for firms in Bogota, and the team travels to industry events where clients meet us in person.

Who handles licensing if we run a broker from Bogota?

Your firm does. The SFC supervises Colombia's securities market and the local intermediary regime, and any authorisation, filing or capital arrangement sits with your company and your own legal advisers. SINGUARD supplies software only.

Can the platform work in Spanish for Colombian clients?

Yes. The trader apps and the client portal are multilingual, so a firm in Bogota can run Spanish as the default and keep English for regional or international clients.

How fast can a firm in Bogota go live?

Once your licensing and paperwork are in place and you have chosen your instrument set, the platform and CRM go live within 24 hours. The waiting is on your side of the table, never on ours.
