Most founders who call us from Port Louis ask the same two questions in the same order. How quickly can the platform be live, and does the software touch client money. Take the second one first: it does not. SINGUARD writes software. Your company holds the licence, your bank holds the funds, your directors sign the compliance file. We supply the technology those people work behind, and nothing else.
The first question has a short answer too. Once your own licensing and paperwork are in place, we can have your platform and CRM live within 24 hours, branded, configured and fully managed by our team.
Who this is for in Mauritius
Two kinds of firm. The first is a retail broker built inside a Global Business Company, holding an Investment Dealer authorisation from the Financial Services Commission and selling to clients across Africa, the Gulf and South Asia. The second is a proprietary trading firm running evaluation accounts, which is a newer business in Mauritius and one that founders often start after a few years inside somebody else's broker.
Both need the same four pieces of technology: a platform traders will actually use, a data feed, a back office that survives an audit, and a payment stack that does not fall over at month end. Buying those separately from four vendors is how launches slip by six months. If you are still weighing the two business models, the broker versus prop firm comparison is the honest version.
The regulatory backdrop, described and nothing more
In Mauritius the Financial Services Commission licenses non-bank financial services, and a retail forex or CFD business is normally run under an Investment Dealer authorisation held by a Mauritian company, usually a Global Business Company administered by a licensed management company. The FSC expects capital held against the licence category, a resident compliance function, audited accounts and anti-money-laundering procedures written down and actually followed. Our Mauritius FSC licence explainer walks through the mechanics, and the licence cost comparison puts Mauritius next to the alternatives.
This page is descriptive. We are not lawyers and we do not advise on applications. Your management company and your legal counsel decide what you file. What we care about is that whatever you commit to on paper, the software can evidence: who verified a client, when a limit changed, who approved a withdrawal.
SINGUARD has no office, entity, staff or licence in Mauritius. We are a software vendor serving firms there, and our team travels to industry events where our clients are.
What we provide
Three products, sold as one managed service.
eTrader is our trading platform, built by Alex Onta with Roman Onta on the design, and it ships with its own data feed rather than leaving you to source pricing separately. Web, iOS and Android, your brand on all three. The Broker CRM covers onboarding, KYC, deposits, withdrawals, client accounts and the audit trail behind them. The Prop Firm CRM adds the evaluation logic: challenge phases, drawdown and consistency rules enforced on the server, payout requests and certificates.
| Your Mauritian company | SINGUARD |
|---|---|
| FSC licence and conditions | Platform, CRM and data feed |
| Client funds and bank relationships | Hosting, updates and monitoring |
| Compliance officer and AML file | Audit logs and exportable records |
| Payment provider contracts | Payment integrations and reconciliation screens |
| Client agreements and marketing | Branding across web and mobile |
Fully managed means our engineers run the servers, apply updates and watch the feed. You do not hire a platform team. Firms that tried the other way round usually tell us the same story, which is roughly the case for not building an in-house tech team at all.
Payments, banking and the practical local angle
Banking is the part that decides your launch date more often than the licence does. A Mauritian licensed entity can bank domestically, and many firms also run an offshore account and one or more payment service providers for card acquiring. Expect the acquirer, not the regulator, to ask the hardest questions about your refund policy and your chargeback ratio. Read how high risk acquiring actually works and why one provider is never enough before you sign anything.
If your clients sit in Africa, mobile money matters more than cards. Our CRM handles multiple providers side by side, with reconciliation per rail, which is the same problem we describe in the local payment methods piece. Firms selling into South Africa often pair a Mauritius licence with an FSCA-authorised partner, and the Johannesburg page covers that market.
Languages, hours and how firms staff up
Mauritius runs on GMT+4, which puts your desk in the same working day as Dubai, Johannesburg, Mumbai and the London open. That is why the island works as a support hub. English is the language of regulation and business, French and Mauritian Creole are everywhere, and hiring bilingual support staff is straightforward. Our platform and client portal are localised, so a French-speaking client in Antananarivo and an English-speaking client in Nairobi see the same product in their own language.
The typical structure is a small Mauritian core of directors, compliance and finance, with sales and marketing sitting wherever the clients are. That works only if the back office is one system rather than five spreadsheets. If you are comparing us with the usual vendors, the vendor comparison is a fair starting point, and the Seychelles page and the wider locations index cover the neighbouring options.
Talk to us
Alex Onta and Roman Onta run these conversations themselves. Book a call and we will walk through your licence position, your payment rails and what the first 24 hours after go-live look like. If a call is heavy, text us and ask the awkward question first.
Where SINGUARD is based, and where we meet firms in Mauritius
All of the software, the contracts and the policies come from SGHK Softwares Limited in Hong Kong, the holding company that builds and licenses eTrader and both CRMs. The team works out of Dubai, where both Executive Directors, Alex Onta and Roman Onta, live for most of the year, and our licensed UAE entity is SINGUARD GLOBAL FZC in Ajman Free Zone. We hold no office or licence in Mauritius, and none is needed: the platform is delivered and managed from our own clustered servers, so a firm in Mauritius runs exactly what a firm anywhere else runs, and your licence, your client money and your compliance obligations stay entirely with your own entity.
Being in Dubai keeps the team on the industry circuit and within easy reach of Mauritius for calls and meetings, in a time zone that overlaps most of the trading world.
In person, the place to find us is the industry circuit. The team attends Forex Expo Dubai and the other major shows, wearing the SINGUARD and eTrader shirts, and you can walk up without an appointment, ask for a live demo of the terminal and both CRMs, and talk to the Executive Directors directly in English, Italian, Romanian or Russian. See where to find us at the expo.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SINGUARD have an office in Mauritius?
No. SINGUARD has no office, entity or staff in Mauritius. We are a software company supplying the trading platform and CRM to firms licensed there, and our team travels to industry events to meet clients in person.
Do I need an FSC licence in Mauritius before you can set up the platform?
Licensing is your firm's responsibility and we do not advise on it. We can build and configure the environment while your application is in progress, and go live once your Mauritius paperwork and payment arrangements are in place.
Can a Mauritius prop firm run evaluations on eTrader?
Yes. The Prop Firm CRM enforces challenge phases, drawdown limits and consistency rules on the server, and handles payout requests. Traders in Mauritius and abroad use the same web and mobile apps under your brand.
Which payment methods can a Mauritius firm accept through the CRM?
Whatever your providers approve for you: cards, bank transfer, mobile money and crypto rails are all supported as integrations. SINGUARD is not a payment institution and never holds client funds, so the provider contracts are yours.
