Indonesia is one of the few large retail trading markets with a purpose-built domestic regime, and that changes the shape of every conversation we have with founders in Jakarta. You are not choosing between an offshore licence and nothing. There is an onshore path, and it has specific institutions attached to it.
SINGUARD is a software company. No office, no entity, no staff and no licence in Indonesia. We build the trading platform and the back office that firms run on, and our team travels to industry events across Southeast Asia. Licensing, client funds and compliance sit with your firm.
Who this page is for
Anyone in Jakarta starting or already running a brokerage or an evaluation firm. That includes a licensed domestic futures brokerage wanting a better platform than the one it inherited, a founder building a prop firm for the regional market, and groups that operate offshore but keep their marketing, support and technology teams in Jakarta.
The regulatory backdrop in Indonesia
Retail leveraged trading in Indonesia sits under the commodity futures regime rather than the securities one. Bappebti, the Commodity Futures Trading Regulatory Agency, licenses and supervises futures brokers, and licensed brokers operate as members of the Jakarta Futures Exchange with clearing through the designated clearing house. The financial services authority OJK and Bank Indonesia cover the wider financial and payments perimeter. That structure is why Indonesian brokers talk about exchange membership and clearing in conversations where a Cyprus or UAE firm would talk only about a licence.
Descriptive only. What activity licence you need, what capital and what reporting obligations attach to it are questions for Indonesian counsel and for Bappebti. If you are weighing a domestic route against an offshore one, offshore broker licences and regulated versus unregulated brokers set out the trade-offs without pretending one answer fits every business. The prop-firm side has its own moving picture, covered in prop firm regulation in 2026.
We supply software and nothing else. SINGUARD is not a broker, a bank, a payment institution or an adviser, and we hold no client money at any point.
What SINGUARD supplies
eTrader is the trading platform: web, iOS and Android, market data feed included rather than invoiced as a separate item, full charting, order tickets, pending orders and price alerts. Indonesian retail traders are overwhelmingly mobile, and a platform that treats the phone as the primary surface rather than a companion app matters more here than in most markets.
The Broker CRM handles clients, KYC state, deposits and withdrawals, per-server instrument and markup configuration, reporting and audit trails. The Prop Firm CRM handles challenge design, drawdown and consistency rules, breach detection and payout approvals. If you are still comparing vendors on the prop side, best prop firm software lays out what actually differs between them.
Everything is fully managed by us: hosting, updates, monitoring, support. Once your own licensing and paperwork are in place, we can have you live in 24 hours.
Payments and banking for a Jakarta firm
Indonesia has a deep domestic payments stack: bank transfer, virtual accounts, QRIS and e-wallets are how retail clients expect to pay, and card penetration is lower than a founder used to Europe would assume. Cross-border settlement is a separate problem again, and trading firms remain a high-risk merchant category wherever they bank. Start with local payment methods, then high-risk merchant accounts and payment approval rates.
What we do is integrate whatever providers you sign and reconcile them into the client record, so deposits, withdrawals, holds and failed attempts are visible in one place instead of three provider dashboards. The merchant relationships are contracted by your entity.
Language, hours and team shape
Jakarta runs on UTC+7, which puts a local desk in the middle of the Asian session and still on shift for the London open. Client-facing language is Bahasa Indonesia first, English second, and support hours in practice stretch into the evening because that is when retail clients trade. The platform and client portal are multilingual, so the Indonesian client experience and an English-language back office run off the same deployment.
Team shape here is usually larger on the marketing and support side than in the Gulf, with technology outsourced. Firms serving the wider region often pair Jakarta with a presence in Kuala Lumpur or an operations bench in Mumbai. The full list of markets we cover is on the locations index.

Alex Onta built eTrader with Roman Onta helping on the design, and Alex leads it. Alex Onta and Roman Onta built the Prop Firm CRM, the Broker CRM, Scalegram and CopySignals together, and they carry compliance, payments and corporate structuring together. Where SINGUARD is based, and where we meet firms in Jakarta
All of the software, the contracts and the policies come from SGHK Softwares Limited in Hong Kong, the holding company that builds and licenses eTrader and both CRMs. The team works out of Dubai, where both Executive Directors, Alex Onta and Roman Onta, live for most of the year, and our licensed UAE entity is SINGUARD GLOBAL FZC in Ajman Free Zone. We hold no office or licence in Indonesia, and none is needed: the platform is delivered and managed from our own clustered servers, so a firm in Jakarta runs exactly what a firm anywhere else runs, and your licence, your client money and your compliance obligations stay entirely with your own entity.
Being in Dubai keeps the team on the industry circuit and within easy reach of Jakarta for calls and meetings, in a time zone that overlaps most of the trading world.
In person, the place to find us is the industry circuit. The team attends Forex Expo Dubai and the other major shows, wearing the SINGUARD and eTrader shirts, and you can walk up without an appointment, ask for a live demo of the terminal and both CRMs, and talk to the Executive Directors directly in English, Italian, Romanian or Russian. See where to find us at the expo.
