SINGUARD for firms in Egypt

Forex Broker and Prop Firm Software in Cairo.

Firms in Cairo run on three pieces of software: the terminal their clients trade on, the CRM behind it and the payment records that keep the auditor happy. SINGUARD builds and runs all three, and nothing else.

A firm setting up in Cairo usually arrives with the same two lists. One is legal: the entity, the licence, the auditor, the bank. The other is technical: a trading platform, a place to keep client records, a way to take money in and pay it out, and someone to answer the phone at two in the morning when a feed stalls. SINGUARD covers the second list. The first stays with you and your advisers.

Who this page is for

Two kinds of firm, mostly. The first is a broker: an Egyptian-owned company, or a regional group with a desk in Cairo, that wants its own branded terminal, its own spreads and its own client portal instead of renting someone else's. The second is a prop firm running evaluations, which is a newer trade in the region and a very different operation, as the split in broker versus prop firm sets out. Both need the same three parts underneath, and both usually start with a founder who has sold or traded for years and has never run the technology.

The regulatory backdrop in Egypt

Non-banking financial services in Egypt fall under the Financial Regulatory Authority, the FRA, which supervises capital markets activity, licensing and the conduct rules that go with it. Banking and currency matters sit with the Central Bank of Egypt. What that means in practice is that the shape of your permission, the activities you may offer and the way client money must be handled are decided by an Egyptian regulator and your own counsel. This page describes the mechanism and nothing more. It is not advice, and SINGUARD holds no licence anywhere.

Plenty of firms serving Egyptian clients are licensed elsewhere, which is why the questions in offshore broker licences and regulated versus unregulated brokers come up in almost every first call we take from the region. The honest answer is that where you licence changes your marketing, your payment options and your banking, and it needs a lawyer, not a vendor.

SINGUARD has no office, entity, staff or registration in Egypt. We supply software to firms that operate there. Licensing, client funds and compliance stay entirely with your company.

What SINGUARD actually delivers

Three products, fully managed on our infrastructure, with our engineers running them:

ProductWhat it does
eTraderThe trading platform itself, web and native apps, with its own market data feed. Charts, order types, alerts and the instrument list you choose.
Broker CRMClient records, KYC state, deposits and withdrawals, markups and swaps, reporting and the client portal your traders sign into.
Prop Firm CRMChallenge design, rule evaluation, breach handling, payout queues and the trader dashboard.

Once your own licensing and paperwork are in place, a firm can be live in 24 hours. That number is about our side of the work: provisioning, branding, instruments, feed and the payment connections you already hold. It says nothing about how long a regulator takes, and we will not pretend otherwise.

Payments and banking, the Cairo reality

This is where regional firms lose the most time. Card acquiring for a trading business is classified high risk almost everywhere, so approvals are slow and the pricing reflects it. Cross-border settlement to and from Egypt runs through correspondent banking with the fee layers described in SWIFT fees, and many firms end up holding balances in more than one currency, which is the argument in multi-currency accounts. A large share of retail clients in the region prefer wallets or stablecoin rails, and crypto payments for trading firms covers what that costs you in reconciliation and travel-rule work.

The CRM does not move money. It records every deposit, every conversion rate and every payout against the client, so that when a bank or an auditor asks how a balance came to exist, the answer is one screen and not a spreadsheet archaeology project.

Languages, hours and how firms here are built

Cairo runs on Arabic first and English second, and support written only in English costs you conversions with the exact clients you paid to acquire. Both CRMs and the client portal are multilingual, and the platform follows the trader's own language setting. Egypt sits at UTC+2 for most of the year, which puts your desk on top of the London open and gives your team a full working day of European liquidity before the New York session arrives.

Structurally, most groups we speak to in the region split things: an operating company that holds the licence, a separate marketing or IB arm, and technology bought in rather than built. Swap-free account handling matters here more than in Europe, and it is a configuration on the instrument, not a custom build. Firms comparing the region often look at Nairobi and Lagos as well, and the full list is on our locations page.

Who you deal with

Alex Onta built the eTrader platform, with Roman Onta on the design side, and Alex leads it. The Prop Firm CRM, the Broker CRM, Scalegram and CopySignals were built by Alex Onta and Roman Onta together, and the pair carry compliance, payments and corporate structuring between them. On a call you get one of them, not a sales script.

Where SINGUARD is based, and where we meet firms in Cairo

All of the software, the contracts and the policies come from SGHK Softwares Limited in Hong Kong, the holding company that builds and licenses eTrader and both CRMs. The team works out of Dubai, where both Executive Directors, Alex Onta and Roman Onta, live for most of the year, and our licensed UAE entity is SINGUARD GLOBAL FZC in Ajman Free Zone. We hold no office or licence in Egypt, and none is needed: the platform is delivered and managed from our own clustered servers, so a firm in Cairo runs exactly what a firm anywhere else runs, and your licence, your client money and your compliance obligations stay entirely with your own entity.

Being in Dubai keeps the team on the industry circuit and within easy reach of Cairo for calls and meetings, in a time zone that overlaps most of the trading world.

In person, the place to find us is the industry circuit. The team attends Forex Expo Dubai and the other major shows, wearing the SINGUARD and eTrader shirts, and you can walk up without an appointment, ask for a live demo of the terminal and both CRMs, and talk to the Executive Directors directly in English, Italian, Romanian or Russian. See where to find us at the expo.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does SINGUARD have an office in Cairo?

No. SINGUARD is a software company with no office, entity, staff or licence in Egypt. We build and run the software for firms that operate in Cairo, and the team travels to industry events in the region.

Who regulates trading firms in Egypt?

Non-banking financial activity in Egypt sits with the Financial Regulatory Authority, the FRA. Licensing, permitted activity and client money handling are matters for the FRA and your own lawyers, not for a software vendor.

Can a firm in Cairo take deposits in Egyptian pounds?

That depends on the firm's own banking and payment arrangements and on Egyptian currency rules. The software books deposits in whatever currencies your processors settle, converts at the rate you configure, and keeps the trail per client.

How fast can a Cairo firm go live on SINGUARD?

The platform and both CRMs can be live within 24 hours once your own licensing, entity and paperwork are in place. Branding, instruments, markups and payment connections are configured with you during that window.
