Scalegram Never Stores Your Conversations.

Most CRMs that touch a messenger start by copying every conversation into their own database. Scalegram keeps none of it. The contact exists, the recency exists, the link into the real chat exists, and the text does not.

Ask a vendor where your Telegram conversations are stored and you usually get a paragraph about encryption instead of an answer. That is the wrong question anyway. The honest question is whether the text was copied out of Telegram at all, and for Scalegram the answer is no. There is no message table. There is nothing to leak, nothing to subpoena, and nothing to hand over if the company were ever sold.

This was a decision, not an oversight, and it cost us features. Worth explaining what it buys and what it takes away.

What is on the record

A contact in Scalegram carries the things a sales operation actually works from: who the person is, their Telegram username and internal identifier, the stage they sit in, the tags you put on them, your own notes, custom fields, tasks with due dates, the purchases and deposits synced from your other systems, and the campaign that produced them. It also carries recency: when they last spoke to you, and when you last spoke to them.

Recency is the load-bearing field. Almost every follow-up question a Telegram business asks is a recency question. Who went quiet after saying they were interested. Who has not been touched in ten days. Who paid this morning and should therefore be left alone this evening. None of that needs the words. It needs a timestamp and a stage.

What is thrown away

The bodies of your messages. Their attachments. Voice notes. Photos your clients sent you. The assistant reads a conversation in Telegram at the moment it writes a reply, because it has to, and then keeps nothing. What lands on the record afterwards is structured: the stage moved, a tag was added, a task was created, a purchase was claimed.

If you need a full searchable transcript archive of every client chat for a regulatory obligation, Scalegram is the wrong tool and we will tell you so on the call. It cannot produce a transcript it never kept.

Why the button matters more than the mirror

A CRM that does not store text has to answer one obvious objection: how do you read the conversation? You open it. Every contact row carries a link that deep-links straight into the real chat in your real Telegram app, on whatever device you are holding. The conversation is where it always was, under Telegram's own encryption and Telegram's own retention rules, and you read it there.

That is the same restraint behind the product having no send queue at all. Scalegram reads and organises and deep-links. It does not become a second copy of Telegram with worse security and a support email.

What a competitor stores instead

Worth knowing what the normal design looks like, because it is the default almost everywhere. A tool connects to your messenger, copies every message into its own database so it can offer search, threads and analytics on top of the words, and then spends the rest of its marketing explaining how that database is protected. Nothing about that is dishonest. It is simply a different bet: more features, a much larger thing to lose.

We took the other side of the bet because of who uses Scalegram. Trading affiliates, signal communities and coaches hold conversations that contain account numbers, complaints, arguments about money and occasionally somebody's worst week. A copy of that in a vendor database is a liability nobody was paid enough to carry.

The operations argument, not the privacy one

Privacy sells the decision to a client. Operations is why we kept it. A stored transcript rots. It is a copy of a live conversation that stops being true the moment someone edits a message, deletes one, or continues the chat on their phone while your CRM is asleep. Teams then argue with the mirror instead of reading the chat, which is how two people end up working the same lead from two different versions of what was agreed.

Throwing the text away removes that entire class of disagreement. There is one version of what was said and it lives in Telegram. The CRM is the index. The pipeline discipline that runs on top of that index is described in stages, tags and saved views, and none of it needs a transcript to work.

What this does not protect you from

Be clear about the edges. Not storing messages does not make your Telegram account private from Telegram. It does not stop a client screenshotting you. It does not mean a teammate with access to your workspace cannot see a contact's name, stage and purchase history, which is exactly why permissions exist per area. And it does not remove your own obligations: if you run a regulated business, your record-keeping duty is yours, on whatever system you choose for it.

What it does mean is that the surface area of a Scalegram breach is a contact list, not a conversation archive. For a business that sells through DMs, those two things are not remotely equivalent in what they would cost you.

How it fits the rest of the product

Every other part of the system was built to run on structured records rather than text. Purchases arrive from a checkout or a broker integration and land on the contact rather than being inferred from a chat, which is how purchase sync avoids pitching somebody the thing they bought two hours ago. Conversion events fire from confirmed facts. The assistant checks with you before it grants anything. The full tour of that machinery is in the Scalegram overview.

SINGUARD sells software. We are not your data controller of last resort and we would rather hold as little of your clients' material as the product can function on. So far, the answer to how little that is has been: none of the text.

"Every vendor promises to protect your conversations. We decided the strongest version of that promise was to never take a copy in the first place."

Key Takeaways

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Scalegram store my Telegram messages?

No. There is no message content in the platform at all. Contacts, stages, tags, notes, tasks, purchases and the timing of contact are stored. The text of your conversations is not.

Then how does the AI assistant know what we already discussed?

It reads the conversation in Telegram at the moment it is writing a reply, and does not retain it afterwards. What persists is the outcome: a stage change, a tag, a task or a claimed purchase.

Can my teammates read my client chats inside Scalegram?

There is nothing there to read. They can see the contact record according to the permissions you gave them per area, and they can open the real Telegram chat if they have access to that account themselves.
