Most people who tell us they want to start a prop firm arrive with a rule set and a price point, and almost nothing else. They know the profit target, the daily loss limit and the fee they want to charge. What they have not decided is who holds the challenge fee before the account is issued, what happens to an account at 23:59 server time on a Friday, or which of their staff can see a trader's identity documents. Those are the questions that decide whether the firm survives its first hundred paying clients.
The SINGUARD team will be attending Forex Expo Dubai. If you are planning a prop firm, or you already run one and the operations side is straining, come and find us on the floor. There is no appointment needed and nothing to sign. Check the expo's own official schedule for the dates and the floor plan, and if you want a fixed slot rather than a walk-up, use the Book a Call or Text Us links in the header of this site and we will hold a time.
Bring the rule set, not the pitch deck
A twenty minute conversation about your funding model beats an hour about your brand. The useful version goes like this: you read out your rules, we tell you which of them the software enforces automatically, which need a human decision, and which two or three usually get rewritten in the first quarter once real traders start probing them. Consistency rules, news windows and weekend holding limits are the three that founders most often write in a way they cannot actually measure.
If you have not written the rules yet, our guide on how to start a prop firm covers the ordering of the company, payments and technology decisions. Read them before Dubai and the meeting starts two levels deeper.
What we can put on a screen there
We travel with the software running, not with slides of it. On a laptop at the expo you can see the eTrader terminal executing on live prices, the Broker CRM, and the Prop Firm CRM with a challenge account inside it: the rules engine marking a breach, the payout queue, the certificate generation, the audit trail behind a staff action. Ask us to break something on purpose. Blow the daily loss limit on a demo account and watch what the system does with it, which is a better test than any feature list.
Questions during the demo are the point. Founders usually want to know how a rule change propagates to accounts already live, how refunds on challenge fees are handled, and what the support desk sees when a trader disputes a breach. All of that is visible in the running product, so you get an answer you can check with your own eyes rather than a promise.
SINGUARD sells software. We are not a broker, a bank or an adviser, we do not hold client money, and we do not run your firm. Your licensing, your AML and KYC, your client funds and your commercial decisions stay yours. Trading, especially leveraged trading, carries a high risk of loss.
Who you will be talking to
Everyone on the team wears a SINGUARD or eTrader t-shirt, which makes us easy to pick out of a crowded hall. Walk up and start talking. SINGUARD's Executive Directors, Alex Onta & Roman Onta, are both there in person. Alex Onta built the eTrader platform with Roman Onta helping on the design and leads it. The two of them built the Prop Firm CRM and the Broker CRM together, and they carry compliance, payments and corporate structuring together, so a founder's questions about payment rails or company structure do not need to be forwarded to someone who is not in the room.
The team answers in English, Italian, Romanian and Russian. If your technical vocabulary is stronger in one of those than in English, say so at the start and we will switch.
The questions worth spending your twenty minutes on
Founders often use their expo time on price and lose the more valuable part. Price is a number we can send you afterwards. What you cannot get by email is watching an operator use the software while you interrogate the awkward cases. Ask what happens when a trader passes phase one on the last day of the calendar month. Ask who can approve a payout and whether that approval is logged. Ask how many people it takes to run the desk at five hundred active accounts, which is the number that decides your real cost base more than any licence fee.
Our list of what to ask vendors at an expo works on us as well as on anyone else in the hall, and it is written to be used against a vendor, not for one.
Before you fly
Two pieces of preparation make the difference. Write your rules down in one page, including the ones you are unsure about, and bring the list of jurisdictions you are considering for the operating company. Both are things we can react to on the spot. Anything vaguer than that turns the meeting into a product tour, which you can get from the demo links on this site any evening without a flight to Dubai.
If you want to see the full picture of what a firm actually runs on before you arrive, the prop firm tech stack for 2026 lists every component with the ones that are commonly underestimated marked. Come with objections to it. Those make the best conversations at a stand.
"Bring me your rule sheet, not your logo. I can tell you in ten minutes which of those rules a machine can actually enforce and which one is going to cause you a dispute in month three."
